THE MAIMONIDES BREAST CENTER
HOPE, STRENGTH AND LIFE FOR WOMEN IN BROOKLYN AND BEYOND
With a population of 2.6 million people, more than half of whom are female, the borough of Brooklyn is America’s fourth-largest city. Yet until Maimonides opened the Breast Center, women in Brooklyn coping with a breast cancer diagnosis were obliged to travel from provider to provider, with many leaving the borough for treatment. Fourteen years ago, we created Brooklyn’s first fully accredited, full-service Breast Center in a beautiful free-standing location just a short distance from our main campus. Led by our Chief of Surgery, Dr. Patrick Borgen, and a team of exceptionally skilled and dedicated physicians and staff, our Breast Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence make breast cancer screenings, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and a full array of support services available all under one roof.
